Hello, everyone from the 1950s/1960s,
Toby Carvery
114 St John’s Street, Corstorphine
Thursday 31st May 12:00
You will remember that, in December 2013, we celebrated the 125th Anniversary of the Club instituted way back in 1888.
The celebrations culminated in a spectacular gala in the Royal Commonwealth Pool and 4×50 metre medley handicap teams from each decade racing against each other. Of course, the celebrations continued in the bar upstairs in true Warrender tradition.
We are proud to say that our 50s/60s members have continued to keep in touch by joining together for an informal lunch in Edinburgh from time to time.
This year, we are trying the Toby Carvery West, 114 St. John’s Road, Corstorphine, as the Mercure is being refurbished. There is ample free (for customers) parking behind the restaurant and a bus stop right outside the front door. After kicking off with a drink at the bar, we can choose from a selection of attractive lunch dishes including a help-yourself roast selection for £6.95 in an informal setting.
It would be helpful if you could confirm your attendance so that the hotel may know rough numbers. And so, if you are likely to come, please reply by 20 May to Stuart’s email address sbsc01@gmail.com or phone number 0131 556 3872 or mobile 07758 480390.
We really do hope that as many as possible will come along and renew old acquaintances.
“One for all and all for one.”
